The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
